But nothing that changes the way your build plays on a fundamental level. More power, more defense, and a lot of quality-of-life upgrades, for sure. This season is a lot stronger overall, but everyone is affected nearly the same, and it doesn't introduce new abilities. That was really fun and enabled builds that couldn't be done without that effect. Many seasons don't have their power come out until the back-end, but are more rewarding in the long-term because they have some fundamental effect on game mechanics.įor example: Last season (27) we had sanctified items that in some cases had game-changing powers, such as one for demon hunters that allowed you to strafe and auto-fire hatred spenders. This season is a lot more fun on the front end with the Altar of Rites, which affects you even as you level and power up.
